The weather box
On wide screens, the weather box on the front page asks your browser for your location. If you allow it, your position, rounded to about a kilometre, goes straight from your browser to Open-Meteo for the weather and to BigDataCloud for the name of your town. If you don’t, the box shows the weather for Belgium and no location is sent.
This site never receives or stores your location. Your browser remembers the weather until you close the tab. Either way, Open-Meteo sees your IP address, as any service does that a page loads something from. Read Open-Meteo’s terms and privacy policy and BigDataCloud’s privacy policy.
