Two months of weekly calls with Linus Tech Tips ended with the designers’ names etched into the case.

Belgium and Canada — In 2021, bandleader Martin Molin of the band Wintergatan needed a new computer. Together with Sebastiaan Jansen I designed a prototype wooden PC case in SolidWorks, inspired by Martin’s Marble Machine X.

Over the course of two months we had weekly meetings with Alex Clark and Tynan Stack from Linus Tech Tips to finetune the design.

Code came to me the long way round, from the people-first world of the social sciences. It shows: my best work is collaborative, made with other creatives, and sweated over in the details.

By day I’m a frontend developer at BBC NV in Mechelen, turning strategy and design into interfaces that feel considered down to the last interaction.

Off the clock I’m behind a camera or at the 3D printer. It’s the same eye for craft, applied to light and to plastic.
